I have posted something on Taqiyudin. This is my other PYG friend, Azrul.
Mamat ni is in my Shah Alam circle of friends. You see the circle is not
that big as I only include the one that are closest to me. The rest are in
the greater circle called MRR. (I better stop talking sh*t and start talking
about Azrul.)
Hmm he is the smartest in the class. Not much of a surprise when he manage
to go to MCKK and continued his studies in the most International Uni in
Malaysia. The UIA. He married his UNI sweetheart Ms. Yani and was blessed
with 2 wonderfull kids Haris and (Datuk) Khalid.
Azrul is curently working in MAS looking after the air-hostesses. Actually
dia memang layak kerja ni sebab dia baik dan faithful. Kalau member2 yang
lain or even me.... hmmm ntah2 dah hanyut dah. Yani is working in Petronas
at KLCC.
Diorang tinggal kat Sect. 7, Shah Alam near Pusat Belia tu. Oklaaakan Azrul
ni pun happens to be Mat Belia. he he he. One single thing I cannot forget
about him is "rambut dia dpd form 1 or was
it std 6... dah beruban". Don't know why? He look perfectly healthy to me.
We share mostly the same interest, reading comic books and game books. We
frequently lepak2 at his house as he is the only one (or the only one we
know) yang ada laser disc player. Banyaklaaa movie yang kitorang nengok kat
sana sampai I actually develop the love for movies.
OKlaaa Selamat Hari Raya Maaf Zahir Batin. I better not tell too much. Tu
biar aku dengan Azrul je simpan he he. Oh BTW, did your dad told you that I
actually met him a couple of times kat Masjid Negeri for Terawikh last
Ramadhan. Dunno what happened to you though. he he.

Ini adalah keluarga Bazam. My closest cousin. Gambar ni ada Kak As, wife dia, Aisyah Hannan and Athirah Hannan. Actually nama dia Azham Rahim. I supposed to call him Abang Azam. Tapi dah evolved from Bang Azam into Bazam
Dia kojo kat Proton Shah Alam and I even bought my Proton Waja fm him. Skrang dia dah pindah to Bukit Kuda. Raya ni kena pi umah bru dia. Banyak nak mintak maap ni.
Oh ye, mamat ni ialah penyokong PAS seumur hidup. He he. Walaupun wa UMNO tapi wa kamceng ngan dia gilbab nyer. Wa caya lu brader!!

Inilah heritage Makloom Rd. Our original kampung in Penang. This is one of the last frontier as far as Malay is concern. I do not know how much longer the Kampung will stay or being gobled up by globalisation. Greedy Malay will sell the land.... Chinese will convert it into a high rise Apartment / Condominium and all.
Hopefully it will stay at least until another decade or so. Just enough for my kids to appreciate.

Tanah Perkuburan Islam Jalan Perak

This is where most of my Penang ancestors were buried.
From a different point of view, I think that this cemetery is one of the most colourful Moslem cemetery in the country... or maybe the world. The colours indicate the family teritory. In Penang where land are expensive and scarce, in cemetery like this, jenazah / bodies were buried on top of the earlier decomposed grave. A family would occupy 8 or 10 lots and future funerals will be held actually at the same place. On top of each other.
The earliest jenazah will be buried 10 ft deep, next 9 ft, next 8 ft to 7ft deep. And then they will move to the next lot. Just enough rotation for the next generation to be buried there.
