Raya at PD starts better with Mantai in the malam raya. Mantai in PD hits its peak when group of jemaah from Masjid hit our house to Takbir Raya. Meanwhile, Nina, ibu will be busy preparing food for these jemaah which already full from house hopping the earlier house in the Kampung.

Hari Raya is when everybody is at Tok's house. Its the best gathering ever for the year where everybody and everybody will be around. This is taken in the year 2003 when Nashua is hardly 1 year old.

We were in Bali a few months after the infamous Bali bombing. Nashua was just 7 months old at that time. Mama and my Aunty Fawziah were with us as well. We had a brilliant time in Bali.
At that time I was still using my Samsung Digicam. The images weren't great but with ample sunlight it was awesome. I am so thrilled taking Nashua's photo... forgot to take the rest of the Bali images with me. So here we are Hakim's Family in Bali. It was nice.
My tip for you guys. Having a baby during a flight... is not a problem at all. You get VIP treatment all the way.
1. You get to be the 1st to board the plane. Kalau Air Asia, a bonus. Brilliant seat
2. No need to queue at the immigration counter for both locals and abroad
3. You get a lot of in flight gifts and baby foods

I have never actually talk to Abang Nazeem. I have met him a lot of times. But i dunno whether he knows I am there or otherwise. From the very 1st moment I met Abang Nazeem, hes already in this condition. Nina told me, he was like this since 31st August 1993. The year Nina supposed to sit for her SPM. What a year? I bet she was crying all the way to the exam halls.
I never really knew this man. I know he love the family. He is the strength the family lost. He is the big bro, protecter the sisters lost, he is the companion Kak Mai lost. I wish he cud just snap out of this slumber... and join us.
Abang Nazeem, I pray for you to be fit again. I want to know you. My kids want to know their Pak Ngah Nazeem. One thing for sure... All of us will never give up on you. We all love you so very much.

Century Mahkota Madness in Malacca

Actually the trip was brainchild by Pak Arin. We didn't expect Century Mahkota to be so nice a complete family resort which are located right in front of Mahkota Parade in the middle of Malacca. So many activities were organised such as Table tennis match, Mini Golf match, Swimming competition. We even tried the Karaoke which is the 1st to most of us.
We love this place and will come again.

At this time I was still driving my old BET 6591 Wira Aeroback. We really wanna go for a jalan-jalan somewhere. PD tak boleh sebab dekat sangat dengan kampung. So last minute we decided to Go Genting.
In fact that was my 1st trip to Genting after well since I was only 15 years old. And this time around, I have to drive alone right to the top. We checked in into Apartment Ria which is located on the border of Pahang and Selangor. This the one of the few places in the world where you could have 1 feet in one state and the other feet in the other. Its like being in 2 place at a time. Sound freaky eh? But its possible.
Its not just us. Arni also love the trip so much that she packed so fast and unpacked so slow. That night when Nashua was sound asleep, we sneaked out and watched T3 on top of Genting. It was awesome. (Not the movie tho). Watching midnite in Genting. I'm lovin' every single moment of it.

Adat ini dilakukan pada hari ketujuh selepas dilahirkan. Tetapi dalam kes Nashua pada umurnya ke 4 bulan. Ia turut dipanggil adat potong jambul. Kenduri nasi kunyit dan doa selamat diadakan pada hari tersebut.
Sebiji kelapa muda dipotong bahagian kepalanya dengan potongan berkelok-kelok siku seluang untuk dijadikan penutup. Airnya dibuang dan diganti dengan sedikit air sejuk. Kemudian kelapa itu diletakkan di dalam sebiji batil. Biasanya kelapa itu dihias, umpamanya dengan melilitkan rantai emas atau perak di kelillingnya.
Pada hari itu, Nashua dan Munirah dipakaikan dengan pakaian cantik dan diletakkan di atas talam yang dialas dengan tilam kecil atau didukung oleh Papa dan Atuk. Nashua dan Munirah seterusnya dibawa ke tengah majlis dan disambut oleh hadirin lelaki sambil berselawat. Nashua dan Munirah akan ditepung tawar serta ditabur beras kunyit dan bertih. Para hadirin secara bergilir-gilir akan menggunting sedikit rambut Nashua dan Munirah tersebut dan dimasukkan ke dalam kelapa tadi. Bilangan orang yang menggunting rambut bayi tersebut hendaklah dalam bilangan yang ganjil, iaitu tiga, lima, tujuh dan seterusnya. Setelah selesai pihak lelaki menjalankan acara menggunting, pihak perempuan pula mengambil alih. Setelah selesai kedua-dua pihak menjalankan adat bercukur barulah kepala Nashua dan Munirah tersebut dicukur sepenuhnya oleh bidan atau sesiapa sahaja yang boleh melakukannya. Kesemua rambut yang dicukur akan dimasukkan ke dalam kelapa. Akhirnya kelapa tersebut di tanam di sekitar halaman rumah bersama sepohon anak kelapa atau seumpamanya sebagai memperingati masa anak itu dilahirkan.
Lazimnya, semasa adat ini dijalankan akikah turut diadakan. Dari segi syarak, akikah membawa pengertian menyembelih ternakan pada hari ke tujuh selepas anak dilahirkan. Orang Islam yang berkemampuan disunatkan menyembelih ternakan seperti kambing, lembu atau kerbau sebagai akikah anak yang baru lahir. Seorang anak disunatkan berakikah sekali sahaja seumur hidup. Terdapat syarat-syarat tertentu dalam memilih haiwan untuk akikah dan jumlah ternakan untuk akikah juga berbeza mengikut jantina bayi. Bagi bayi lelaki akikahnya ialah dua ekor kambing dan seekor kambing bagi bayi perempuan. Antara hikmah akikah adalah sebagai permulaan kebajikan dan kebaikan bagi pihak bayi tersebut. Akikah sunat dilakukan pada hari ke tujuh kelahiran iaitu boleh dijalankan serentak dengan adat mencukur rambut dan adat memberi nama. Namun ia juga boleh dilakukan pada hari yang lain.

We came to Selayang Hospital as soon as we heard the news. From office terus pi ke Hospital. Its is interesting to have this photos to be shared with the rest of you all. Enjoy the photos.
